PJ's Sea Cab
by Pontiac Jack
I've always wanted to do
something different with TD's beautiful Pie Wagon. When
I got my hands on a glue bombed version, I decided to slice and dice it. I
started by narrowing the body and interior 12mm (1/2"). I had a Gypsy dune
buggy kit, which has become a parts
donor for a couple of projects, and I used the
engine, trans and rear suspension from it for this one.

I scratch built a frame, and channeled the body and interior over it. A single seat from the Pie Wagon is used, with scratch built pedals, a shifter and gauges from the parts box. A cut down Revell gasser steering wheel is used for handlebars.
The forks are made from brass rod and styrene strip, with a AMT 51 Chevy headlight in a scratch built housing. The front wheel started life on a toy motorcycle, while the rear wheels and tyres are from the Beer Wagon.
The whole thing is coated in bright Sea Foam green, and various metalizers.
