This is a duel build by Dan Barten IL, and Don
Grandmaison, NH.
The Butcher Wagon was a favorite of mine from the day
I saw it. I started building the body from Bristol board and got a good mock up. . . and painted it. . .
and it was looking good! however I got stuck on the chassis. . . well it was stalled. . .and I sent it off to
someone in a "I'm giving up on models part of my life". . . .and thankfully they
sent it back. . and I had full plans of building it. . . stalled again.. . .
ooops
That is where Don Grandmaison comes in. . . .he
started asking about the Marek drawing and that someone needs to build it! ! ! ! Everyone pointed him
to my start. . . . . .he asked for it and well I sent off the body to him with all the pieces I
gathered for the build. . . .and well he tore apart the body and used it as a template and rebuilt it. . . all out of
plastic. . .SOLID AS A ROCK ! ! ! ! And built an interior and a chassis and added wheels and tires AND
SENT IT BACK TO ME (wow) in pieces for me to put the final touches on it. . . I loved to see how he
constructed it and all the details and structural elements he designed. Great Job DON!
I created a design for decals and had those made
(thanks Mr. Jones) painted the interior and added peddles. . . and put it all together. The pipes were
the hardest and are made out of make-up brushes. And after talking to AJ . . . they were
added to his suggestion. Thanks! ! ! !
