I missed out on one of these on ebay for $30 (cheap). So when I figured out the 'Early Iron' kit was the same, I grabbed a built up one a friend and I built as kids, i was pretty poor but a good start. I also received a glue bomb from George which donated a few pieces, and the scuba gear (not painted yet).

I never really liked the wheels that came with this kit. I don't think they represent the box art well. So I stole a set from my munsters Coach. Among other things, the seats, front axle, and exhaust were all problems to find and different from the early iron kit. Thanks to Dennis (Jarhead82) I was able to use his original exhaust to make my headers from Solder. I used his side pipes to cast a resin set for mine. The seats are from a 41 Willy's coupe. The Roll Bar is aluminum tubing. I had to raise the spindles on the fronT axle to get the other 1/8th inch I needed. It wasn't until after I was done and ready to take pics I realized I didnt have a fire wall, So I ran to the parts box and grabbed a nice smooth one from a 34' Ford Lindberg kit, I also grabbed the Louvered hood from that same kit. A little bit of chopping and walaaa!!! Never really liked the front bumper so I opted for a Gas tank. Paint is HOK Silver Base with Plastikote Metallic red over top. I attempted to tint the windshield. Not sure If I like it or not. But it will work for now. I also added Rods that go from the Firewall to hood (solder). I like this kit with no top and no hood i think it looks best that way.

This kit Was one of my first ever to build. My Grandma bought me my first for Christmas years ago, I dug it out of storage when I built this.. lots of glue but it's still holding strong and looks good for a 9 year old building it!!!! Hope Ya'll enjoy!
