I had been able to pick up a reissued Monogram Super Fuzz and was
looking over the pieces and thought why not update this kit a little? I had a Revell 1/16 scale funny car kit and started comparing the parts
from the two kits and noticed that the dimensions were just about perfect. I thought lets turn "Super Fuzz" into "Nitro Fuzz" so he can
keep up with todays speeders!
I mated the front frame rails of the funny car by cutting them at the
fire wall and then mating them to the fire wall of the Super Fuzz body. I then was able to use the rear axle and fram rails of the funny car and
mount them to the rear/underside of the Super Fuzz. To my amazement everything lined up perfectly and the stance was dead-on!!! The tilt
of the car body and when the Cop Dude was seated in the car his stance was perfect!.
I then broke everything down and painted the frame and body
Dupl-Color Automotive Metallic Blue with several coats of clear. I then used gold
bare-metal foil to do the embossed "FUZZ" on the sides of the car. The Motor, fuel lines, ignition
wires, etc are all from the funny car kit. The rear wing is from a Revell 1/16 scale rear engine dragster.
I then used the Mouse, the fly, the Cop Dude, the rear mounted machine
gun, and the handcuffed hand from the Super Fuzz kit. These items were detailed with various paints and dry-brushing. These items all add a
little sense of humor to the build..
