The body of this is made from an orange plastic coffin candy box that my kids brought home from trick or treat in 2006. I held onto it thinking that one day,
I would come up with an idea for it. the problem was, the coffin was too big for 1:25 scale parts so I let it sit for a year.
For the coffin body, I cut about 1/2 inch section out of it all the way around which lowered the height of it. I covered it with wood grain vinyl shelf paper. The chassis is from the
piranha dragster, and it fit perfect without any modifications. The rear axle, slicks, back rims, engine and headers are from the 1:20 scale
chuck wagon. The roll bar is from the piranha, but i had to cut it down to make it look right. The interior is made from a 32 ford coupe hood, turned upside down to form a tub. The seat, steering wheel, and gauges are from my parts box. The shifter is a
straight pin, with a skull shifter knob on top. The front wheels and tires are from my parts box, as well as the moon tank.
The resin skull scoop was sent to me by Christopher Canada, and this is what the whole build was designed around. the skull scoop started it all. The tombstone on the front is from
Michaels craft store and all the steering linkage and radius rods are from my parts box. The chassis, engine and roll bar are candy red over a gold base with a couple coats of clear.
