The body of this wild rail was made out of a plastic coffin shaped candy box that I found at
Michaels craft store.
I wedge chopped the body to give it a nice little rake, and covered it with vinyl wood grained shelf
paper
The chassis is a scratch built flat pan that I made out of a c.d. case. the rear axle is a 9" ford, and the front part of the chassis is from a 1:32 scale snap tite funny car.
The front axle is from the jawbreaker dragster, front wheels & tires are from my parts box.
The rear mags are the fronts from the barris T buggy, and the rear slicks are from a
Hurst hairy olds with white wall inserts that I made from some white plastic that I found laying around. the roll bar is from the same 1:32 scale dragster that the front frame came from.
The seat, steering wheel, and gauges are from the parts box.
The chassis, roll bar, engine block and seat were painted purple, but I sprayed the seat with dull coat to make it look like fabric.
The shifter is a straight pin, with a white plastic ball on top.
The chrome fuel tank is from a ramchargers front engine dragster with a tri-bar cap on it.
The engine and headers in this beast are from the boss nova funny car kit, with 8 stromberg carbs on top, fuel lines and plug wires.
The parachute is from my parts box, as well as the steering linkage.
