Here's the first die cast model I ever bought and the catalyst for me to get restarted in model making.

This also was a main reason I finally went out one day and bought a real Corvette.

I stared at this model for hours and hours and hours and hours.

This was pretty state of the art when released, but, now it would be considered average quality compared to what's coming out in die cast these days. It's durable as all heck though. I expected the mirrors to be the first to go, but, after 10 years and 3 states, they're still hanging in there.

The body is very accurate proportionately.
Overall impression: I don't see this listed at the Franklin Mint site anymore. I think it was in the neighborhood of $90 when I bought it. I always found it ironic that the plastic car would be replicated in miniature in metal. I like it.
