Another of the cool AMT funny car kits from the 70's, this is actually the chassis from the Funny Gremlin kit with the body from a little later Vega wagon funny.

After 3 bad sets of new Gremlin decals from Gooche, I got tired of fixing the body and switched to the Vega, only to find that the gooche Vega decals were no damn good either. I don't like bad mouthing fellow modelers, but, good is good and bad is bad. I think it worked out for the best though....

These decals were designed by Slippery Arts for me for a pearl Divco with a touch of bling coming soon. Truly incredible is, I knew the name I wanted, but only asked for something that was similar to the Hooters logo. The samples I received were far more than I ever expected!

Like "Pintonium", this model is an ebay refugee that I spent way too much money on. (and inevitably, too much time stripping, painting, decaling, stripping, painting.. etc)

The chassis on this was in surprisingly good condition. Not nearly as brittle as the "blue dragster".

The steering rod is simple aluminum tubing and the fuel tank is spun aluminum. (detail master)

one more look.. Looking now at the pearl white, I realize I should have asked for a driver name...

something that immediately conjures images relative to the theme of the model.. something...

like "Pam" :)
