An AMT flight display kit from "Return of The Jedi", this was built in 2001 to break a case of builders block I had.
I really didn't care for the huge flight display clear
plexiglas stand though, so I threw some body putty, twigs and rocks on the stand
and came up with this. The stand is weighted with sand from Fisherman's Beach in
Swampscott Mass.
(where I spent a lot of time as a child)
The trooper is also filled with sand to give him a little heft.
The kit goes together nicely. I opted for a battleship gray color and Cobra Color's Imperial White. (how fitting is that?)
