From 1956 - Chuck Connors plays a cop out to get racing off the street and onto the drag strip. Early footage of The San Fernando Drag Strip with flag starts and a few shots of then timing equipment. Pretty impressive stuff considering the NHRA was only 4 years old. Frank Gorshin plays chicken in a 34 drop top Ford. Bad idea Frank. good stuff on 4 wheels in this one:
